Classes are offered as 4 - 6 week sessions, single workshops or camps. Most drawing sessions will also include a clay or painting project during one of the classes. Overview of Cirriculum
Our curriculum is a shaped based, guided program that develops drawing skills, techniques, and art vocabulary while encouraging creativity and confidence. Once a student discovers that any form can be broken down into simple shapes, the student understands what is needed in order to draw successfully. Students are introduced to new subject matter each week and use a variety of mediums in each session.
Working with clay is a favorite for students and a fun approach to creating three dimensional art.
It is an ideal medium for learning about form, practicing techniques and developing skills for creating with clay. Students will take home uniquely designed clay masterpieces after each class. We use animator’s clay and texturing tools to make amazing pieces of clay art!
Students love our painting workshops! We primarily work with watercolors and acrylics. Acrylic painting is always done on a canvas board of various sizes. Students learn painting techniques, composition, use of colors, layering, texture, depth and design. All levels can enjoy the thrill of creating art with paint!
All of our projects are carefully designed to teach new skills, build confidence and provide a fresh approach to art.
